EWM increase their customers' competitiveness
Technology leader from the Westerwald region to present product innovations and enhanced automation solutions in Stuttgart, Germany

From 6th to 9th June, 2011, the EWM Group will once again be exhibiting welding technology innovations at the BlechExpo/Schweisstec in Stuttgart, Germany. The focal point of the appearance of Germany's leading manufacturer of welding technology at the international specialist trade fairs for metal-working and joining technology will be new technologies in the areas of submerged arc welding and MIG/MAG orbital welding and the expansion of current product lines. The new branches in Weinheim and Neu-Ulm, as well as subsidiary EWM Hightec Welding Automation, will be represented at the stand. The company will be presenting complete solutions with the goal of emphasising their technological and economic aspects.

In comparison to manual TIG welding, for example, the "pipeTruck" automatic orbital pipe welder offers a 5- to 15-fold increase in the deposition rate, as well as guaranteeing complete X-ray protection. Together with the "alpha Q" and the innovative "pipeSolution" MIG/MAG welding process, EWM are able to offer machines which are especially suitable for use in the field, at the pipeline and in the workshop. The expansion of the Phoenix and Taurus model series by the internationally established company from the Westerwald region will also grab the attention of the specialist audience. Thanks to their highly dynamic inverter technology, the portable, gas-cooled "Phoenix 404" and "Taurus 404" MIG/MAG power sources are ideal for welding tasks in the workshop, at the construction site and during assembly, and in particular at the shipyard and when constructing vehicles. In addition to standard and pulse MIG/MAG welding, for example, the "Phoenix 404" is also capable of the "forceArc" and "rootArc" joining processes developed by EWM, as well as air arc gouging, TIG (lift arc) welding and MMA welding. Another new item is the extremely powerful "Tetrix 400-2", which is sure to win over the audience with its high performance, compact size and low weight.

System solutions increase efficiency and lower costs
At the BlechExpo/Schweisstec, visitors will also be able to learn all about the entire EWM system, from welding machines for a wide range of applications, to welding torches, welding consumables and welding accessories. "In our fully coordinated system, all the components are systematically geared toward delivering consistently high welding quality, conserving resources and reducing the workload," explained Michael Szczesny, Managing Director at EWM and responsible for technological development. Exceptional welding properties, large power reserves, excellent quality and a long service life don't have to preclude savings in money, materials and energy. "With our technologies," stressed Szczesny, "we want to make a significant contribution to increasing efficiency, thereby increasing our customers' competitiveness."

EWM's offerings expanded to include automation solutions
The EWM Group will be presenting their expanded range of automation solutions to the specialist public for the first time. EWM Hightec Welding Automation, located in the Vogtland region, offer complete automation solutions. These complete, turnkey systems are geared toward customer-specific needs and include the appropriate robots, in addition to the welding system. New solutions in submerged arc welding and orbital welding will also be covered by EWM at the Stuttgart fair grounds. The company's portfolio also still includes semi-automatic mechanisation components, such as welding applications on positioners. "We see ourselves as a partner to our customers by providing appropriate solutions for each welding application," emphasised Szczesny.

Visitors to the EWM stand will also be able to learn about the two new EWM branches in Weinheim and Neu-Ulm with the new location in Blaubeuren. They offer the complete range of EWM products and services, including in the field of automation. With these new locations, the leading welding technology company and its sales partners are continuing to expand and build up a strong national presence. EWM established another branch in Siegen just a few days ago. "We want to be in close proximity to our customers," explained EWM Managing Director Szczesny as being the reason for the group's latest expansion. "It's the best way to underscore the technological responsibility which we accept in offering solutions for all our customers' welding needs."
