DVS-TV: EWM donates prizes for Practical Tips contest

Immediately thrilled with first prize

DVS-TV, the Internet channel for joining, cutting and coating technology, is enjoying steadily growing numbers of viewers from the industry. EWM HIGHTEC WELDING GmbH from Mündersbach, Germany’s market leader in innovative welding processes and power sources, has been one of the supporters of this new medium from the very beginning. The company donated all three prizes for the 6th competition in the DVS-TV Practical Tips section: a complete “EWM Pico 162 Set” – an MMA inverter welding machine with accessories –, a red “Powershield II 5-13” welding helmet and a white “Powershield GT 9-13”.
Almost 400 contestants answered the question asked in the Practical Tips film about the power-saving potential of an inverter power source. With the correct answer of “Up to 25 percent”, trainee Fabian Getto won the Pico Set, Michael Wernicke from Constance won the red Powershield helmet and Svenja Wehner from Timbs the white one.In calendar week 47, Fabian Getto was invited to EWM’s Sales and Technology Centre in Weinheim to receive his prize from the centre’s Managing Director and expert for welding applications, Hassan Lakhnati.
The very next day, the lucky winner sent photos of his first work samples to EWM, and noted: “Today I tested the machine extensively, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. The structure is a rack that I constructed for my mobile workshop. Thank you once again for this excellent prize.”
