EWM has established itself as an innovation and technology leader on the welding technology market. Time and time again, we have been the first company in the industry to bring ground-breaking technology onto the market. This is the result of a consistent investment strategy. For many years we have been investing more than 10 percent of our annual turnover in research and development. Because this is the mainstay of our high-tech company.

Investments are also made in the future of EWM. In 2008 alone, four million Euros were invested in setting up domestic and foreign subsidiaries, converting plant 1 in Mündersbach into a technology centre, and constructing a new warehouse. This was followed by a considerable amount of investment in reorganisation in 2009, and in the development of new technology and products (similarly to previous years). The fact alone that EWM earns two thirds of its turnover with products that have been developed in the last five years clearly shows that innovation is the cornerstone of our success.
