    • 3 Scrolling text no Front

Scrolling text no Front | ENG

      Q:
My display shows "no Front"/Hieroglyphics. What can I do?

      A:
If the scrolling text "no Front" or a strange combination of segments (hieroglyphs) is displayed on the 7-segment display of the wire feed unit display, there is probably a connection problem between the front control and the motor controller board (M370).

The error can be caused by a defect on the front control, a defect on the motor controller board or a faulty connection between the two boards (e.g. loose or defective connecting cable).

If this fault occurs, the connection (ribbon cable) between the front control and the motor controller board should be checked first.

      Encoder 044-002502-E0015 | ENG

      Q:
Does the Encoder 044-002502-E0015 (3 connectors) also fit into older control units which had built in an encodert with 5 connectors?

      A:
The five pin encoder has been replaced by the three pin version.
The two additional pins of the old encoder are connected to 0V and have no functionality, or rather we never used it and it will also work without those additonal pins.

Expert 3.0 restarts after changing/saving settings | ENG

      Q:
Why does my Expert 3.0 control unit restart after changing/saving settings?

      A:
If set values are changed on the Expert 3.0 controller and one of the pushbuttons for the JOB favorites is pressed shortly afterwards, the controller may restart.

This phenomenon is a software anomaly that has been rectified with software version SM10 (D7 Master, TXQ322).

Before updating, please check whether a newer version (>SM10) is already available.
