EWM supports BRS Motorsport from Sankt Augustin

The “Formula Student” is an international design and construction competition in which students design, develop and manufacture a Formula Racing Car within a year to compete against other teams of students.

The “BRS Motorsport” team supported by EWM from the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg in Sankt Augustin competed with the fourth electrically powered racing car in Italy, Austria and Germany in 2017.

For the first time in the club's history, the G17e has a four-wheel drive with four individually controllable electric motors directly on the wheel carrier.

Despite the technological leap from the one to the present four engines, the 2017 season was a very successful one for the team.

• 4th place at the FS ATA in Italy
• 5th place at FS Austria at the Spielbergring in Austria
• 12th place at FS Germany at the Hockenheimring
